Hi guys,
I've been wondering what your experiences are being in physical proximity of other people, particularly those you care about. I've come to notice that I'm generally not very comfortable when people are near me, and it takes some effort to be e.g., I have to psych myself up to be meeting someone and being with them for a bit. I'm very comfortable during sex though. There're very few people i'm comfortable having around for extended periods of time, and even then, there's always a tiny jump in my heartbeat when someone comes and joins me.

I never had this before, during my years of unawareness that is. Now I am having a period of not wanting anyone near me, not to mention to touch me. But this is totally foreign to me and I think that has something to do with building myself up, creating boundaries, defining me etc. I am an introvert, though. I get tired from constant communication and noise, I charge myself in solitude. So I cannot really tell what is what.

I tend to like a lot of boundaries and am less comfortable with physical contact than the average person. It often doesn't feel comfortable or natural, except with my kids.
