I find giving the other person space and time is the best thing I can do.
Working on yourself and self awareness i.e seeking therapy to work on your own issues.

Can anyone give advice or experiences on anxiety due to attachment figure not having contact for a long time after you have engaged in very clingy behaviour before last contact with them? And how was this managed? Thank you Hi there...recognize that the anxiety is not truly about the other person but a general fear of being abandoned. If you saw a toddler whose parent was missing, how would you relieve thattoddler’s fear? What would you say? What would you do? As you experience your fear...do these things for yourself.
