Hey all, been doing a lot better lately, feeling more hopeful for the future, taking care of myself, spending time with loved ones...
But now I'm three days from my period and I feel AWFUL. Do any other aps find themselves much worse around their periods?

Constantly! But the good news is if you keep it marked on your calendar, then you'll know why you feel that way and that it will soon pass, so don't make any big decisions those days...

It's an natural thing for most women to feel worse a few days before their period.
Not sure why this question is just asked for AP? Strange.

Because for AP, it can spike anxiety specifically and make it even harder than normal to self-regulate emotions. So if you're trying to get more secure and are prone to those things (which AP and anxious-leaning FA tend to be), I can see if that's "normal" being a valid question to figure out how to manage it and make sure you're not being set back in your progress.

It completely triggers all my ap behaviour. Social media stalking, wanting to call/message, flipping between anger and loneliness. And I've been feeling SO GOOD.
Good advice, Alexandra. And it is reassuring knowing this will be over in a few days...

Do any other aps find themselves much worse around their periods? I also feel more needy and sad during PMS. I get very tired which just lends itself to deactivation for me but I don't sleep well and this is the time when I am almost certain to withdraw from my partner. So I think it's hard on all of us, just manifesting different ways. I think awareness of it and some really good self care is helpful. Also being able to share it with people and gain support helps, I have found of late. Thank goodness it's short lived but I agree that it throws a wrench in the process temporarily.
