Hi all,
I'm wondering how the posting structure works in these forums. What is the difference between the discussion and support versions of each category? I'm not sure where to post.
Reading through a few of each I see it's basically the same, both versions serving as discussion and support.
This is my first visit and I'm looking forward to what looks like lots of great information.

Hi curious67, welcome. The general boards are questions for anyone of any attachment type and are intended to create a broader conversation. They often ask questions about a partner's attachment style, and may get responses where people talk about their experiences with that style even if they do not share the same style. However, sometimes people are resentful of being in similarly difficult situations with their partners and bring that into the conversation, and there can be anxious/avoidant style clashing and fighting even within the thread. So support boards were started to have a place where you're trying to mostly get answers about your personal attachment-style challenges (more questions about yourself directly than about any partner) from people who either share the same attachment style or who can offer really helpful and supportive advice sticking on the same topic as the OP started with (not tangenting saying my ex/partner is the same way, let me go off OP's topic to talk about my own problems with my partner who shares OP's style -- that may not be helpful to the OP trying to focus on themselves).
