Currently dating someone who I guess might be a DA. Oh, gosh, just another one.

I'm suspecting this because:

- lots of passionate texting at the beginning

- after first date, he kinda pulls away

- words/actions don't align

- general sense of ambivalence

- weird communication patterns (one day super warm, the other very cold)

- problematic relationship with mother

- at work, stuck in comfort zone

Let's see if I'm right, but pretty much sure he's a DA. It's a pity because I like him very much, but it's a plague.

Sounds FA to me.

Of course, I am sure there are exceptions but I do not see a DA "texting passionately" with a stranger. DAs generally know one pace and it's a snail's pace. If they have the 2 sides (hot and cold), I generally consider them FA. You will see the passionate side of a DA (maybe) after some trust is established.

That makes sense. Indeed he was extremely warm at the beginning - to the point of "love bombing" really. Never received so much affectionate attention from a stranger in my life...Actually, I agree, having experienced a DA, it's pretty different.
