Things have been going better with fewer overall disruptive “if only/comparing thoughts”. When those do come up, I just let them run their coarse while acknowledging that decades of this type of thought pattern does not adjust overnight. I have started to look into the journals from “that time” in order to understand better what I was experiencing and how I can better handle things in the future. One of my biggest lessons is I will no longer control my feelings in order to modulate someone else’s. I can see now that I did myself a huge disservice by avoiding conflict. Anyways...I do hope all is well with everyone.
