If you open your heart completely, do you then not become too vulnerable?
No, not as long as you also keep yourself grounded e.g. with some SE regulating tools, yoga ect. Its all about feeling your heart and keeping it open. It is in the ego = solar plexus you can become vulnerable but the heart is strong If you did not have your protective layers, your heart could easily be open and loving towards a partner.
A heart wall is created by your subconscious to protect you from heartache. It is made up of many unprocessed emotions from the past when you don’t allow yourself to feel sad. You don’t allow yourself to feel angry. You don’t allow yourself to feel disappointed. These unexpressed emotions gather around your heart. The subconscious mind records everything your heart experiences.
Most of us have a heart wall because we have had a traumatic event in the past. A heart wall can also be called an underactive or blocked heart chakra.
How do heart walls affect highly sensitive people and empaths?
You can think of a heart wall like a castle or fortress around your heart. Pain can’t get in, but neither can love or deep feeling. Heart walls block abundance and love.
HSP Empaths often struggle with accepting their own emotions. They are deep feelers and tend to be more tuned into the emotions of others rather than their own feelings.
Can I protect my heart without having a heart wall?
Protecting your energy and heart chakra is important for every HSP empath. You can clear your heart wall and then shield your energy field.
To clear your heart wall, the book Emotion Code by Dr. Bradley Nelson is a good resource. Clearing the heart wall is not an overnight process. It starts with calming your nervous system so you feel safe to accept all your feelings.
I feel my feelings deeply and completely. I am worthy. I am valuable and loved just as I am. I am not defined by who I’m taking care of. I allow myself to re envision and reshape my dreams when I feel called.
HSP Empath Shielding Affirmation
An energetic boundary is an invisible shield that screens incoming and outgoing energy. Shielding reminds us on a subconscious level that we have the power to choose who and what we let into our heart. My friend Paola shared this and now I do it daily.
“Shield from the right to the left, the top the bottom, front and the back, and all the cracks in between with bronze, silver, gold, and titanium however many feet 1000 2000 feet and then ask for (God, the divine, universe, who you believe) to put suits of armor over the top of that so nothing can get through. You can also ground and shield your house, car, puppy etc.. when you finish you can say “shield and armor up.”
It brings you out of the cognitive part of the brain and down into the primal part of your brain where the deepest part of you lies.
Take small steps
What emerges is what you are ready to handle
Do not use this exercise if you have epilepsy, you are pregnant, you have circulatory disorders or you have just had an operation
As you hold your breath, feel your heart. Your energy heart sits in the middle of your chest. You can put a hand on your energy heart
You can lie down or sit up
Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth fast 30 times Then Hold your breath and feel your energy heart. Pay attention to what your energy heart desires/ wants to tell you - through sensations, images etc.
The next breath is where you breathe in through your mouth and out through your mouth
When you breathe in, breathe into your energy heart
As you breathe in, notice that love flows into your heart On exhalation, imagine love spreading out into the chest and out into the rest of the body
Notice if there are any sounds the heart wants to make on the exhale Play with it Allow the body to make the movements it wants to make Feel the sensations in the body Examine the movements of your hands and fingers Maybe your arms wants move too
Let your heart decide how your body, shoulders, arms, fingers wants to move
If you can’t feel anything, then this is a start to begin to feel the sensations in your body
You can allow the heart to make sounds on the exhalation while you say it
Begin to breathe more normally through the nose Imagine the universal feminine is on your left side supporting your body with unconditional love. From the right side the universal masculine, with support and protection You can imagine the universal feminine as pink light and the universal masculine as blue light and notice your body sensations
Then do a taoist breast massage to ground
Release the energy by massaging your breast area
Massage down on the outside of your breast and up between your breasts.
This direction releases energy. Tightness, heartbbreak ect
Alternativly you can put a supportive hand on your heart.
Your nerveussystem will get more into balance
Then let your arms relax and integrate
Now think of 3 things you can celebrate Think of 3 things you’ve noticed during the exercise Think of 3 things that you are thankful for during the exercise
