So here is the background...
I went to the local shelter not expecting to adopt anyone and there is this cat who rubs his head on the front of the glass as if he liked me...and when the caretaker opened the door to his cage..he rubbed up against my hand with such a sweet purr. We then went to an "introduction" room. He as a bit standoffish at first...sniffing around the room....but then he rubbed up against my legs and again was really sweet. Well....the caretaker left the room for a minute and I thought I could give him a quick pet and he swiped my face and it left a little mark on my cheek. I figure it was just introductory jitters...so I took him home. He spent the next 8 hours behind my stove....it was as if I did not even adopt a cat. The shelter had a bit of a mix up and it turns out that my cat was found abandoned in a townhouse...he was underweight and very scared.
it has been 3 weeks....he doesn't go behind the stove anymore...but...sometimes if I say no, or move him...he will turn around and bite my hand or ankle...but then he wants to near me again and he head butts my legs and purrs.....so....does that sound FA to you? 🤔
