Is it possible for an FA to fixate on MULTIPLE fantasy figures outside the relationship? And when those fantasies fall apart, do they then refix the fantasy - to some extent - on the "base" relationship?

I'd think someone re-fixing on the base relationship would be because that relationship has gotten breathing room / space / distance, maybe during the fantasy episodes, so they'll want to pull that base partner back in if that partner feels like they've gotten too far away. Too much distance can create a kind of separation anxiety if the FA is still attached to that person.

Sure, an FA person can fixate on more than one fantasy figure. And sure they can then go back to the relationship when their fantasies are dashed. Not always of course. What exactly do you mean by "refix" the fantasy?

What exactly do you mean by "refix" the fantasy? Maybe I meant just come back to the "base" relationship. I just think some of what I saw in the last year was multiple times sort of drifting off and talking about other men that I knew were unavailable in sort of a "teen crush" way but always then wanting to keep me around and doing stuff every few days.
