Hi all,
I've been watching a lot of Thias Gibson's videos and I really like the way she talks about each attachment style with empathy. Especially the FA. I've been in therapy for about 2.5 years and I ended because I felt it was not moving forward after a point in time.
Ive researched attachment therapists in my city and I can't seem to find any. I am from India and finding empathetic mental health practitioners here is very difficult. My question to you all is, how good would an online course such as the one offered by Thais Gibson be useful if you're looking at healing FA attachment? Would you recommend it?
If there are better courses online, could you also please suggest?

I can't speak for actual coaching, but Coach Craig Kenneth and Alan Robarge are also good Youtube resources for attachment and trauma issues. In addition, there are SO many Instagram pages devoted to attachment that I have found very helpful. Some of the accounts I follow are: Bobby-Jo Dearnely Jake Woodard Mark Groves together.heal Jenpeters_soulguide.healer Elizabeth Earnshaw Basically, if you just did a search with the hashtag avoidant attachment, or even more specifically #fearfulavoidant, a ton of pages will come up that you can view and see if you want to follow.

I am working with a therapist in Melbourne and she does Skype sessions. Also you could look into somatic experiencing via online too. Normally it’s done in person but u could do via Skype maybe

A few of my sessions with my previous therapist involved working on identifying where in my body I had stored this trauma (not sure if this is what somatic experience is) and I found it very helpful to identify/acknowledge this. I think for several years I was in what I now understand as the freeze state - unable to even read my body. I will check out Daniel Brown's Three Pillars as well and see if it makes sense for me.

I don’t imagine in India you’de have therapists doing any body based therapies like somatic experiencing ?

I've searched for SE therapy but nothing comes up in my city. I think my therapist did incorporate some parts of it in our sessions but I didn't really know it was called that.
I think she did have an idea about my attachment leaning as well but never gave it a name.
