The DA I was dating for 2.5 years (we split up 6 weeks ago) was highly anxious and almost panicking. He was constantly in freeze or panic mode and had several panic attacks when Corona hit Germany. He never went out, not even for a walk in the first weeks. He almost became a hermit which is weird because usually he is seeing his friends every day and goes out a lot.
I am AP myself and had just one panic attack, that was it. I calmed down 2 weeks after being quarantined at home and enjoyed the pandemic, sitting at home, which sounds weird. I talked with my therapist about this and she told me that the pandemic is slowing my panic down and giving me a feeling of being safe at home and doing things I enjoy. Which I really did. I did a lot of self-care and yoga, meditating, calling friends, cleaning my house etc. I did not start buying toilet paper or flour :-)
