I wonder if I was partnered or even doing well dating if I would have felt so bothered by that stupid review. It just compounded my feelings of "no one wants me." Also, if I wasn't just coming off of a relationship with someone who viewed women though the same little heteronormative, patriarchal male goggles as the reviewer, who I had somehow let become the mirror through which I viewed myself. It helps to hear I'm not crazy to be bothered by it.
Alexandra, I definitely am not going to let it define the whole experience for me. It knocked some of the wind out of my sails for a minute, but I understand it does not take away from what I accomplished. Thank you.
