I think she was sincere in her apology. I do think that 1 month is an awfully short time to go from running into each other in a grocery store to deciding to become official and meeting her family….especially over a holiday which can be very triggering for anyone. She may have thought she was ready based on a hope for something different or a recollection of the good moments but realized post the dinner that she wasn’t. I think it is brave of her to be honest with you about that. I don’t recall reading in your post that she had done any therapy. Were you hoping that by doing some work on your side that things would be different?
