My introduction to attachment problems/avoidance has led to me noticing stuff in entertainment and even real life that I hadn't noticed before. Anyone who has seen the movie 'Hitch' recently may notice that Will Smith's character Alex Hitchins seems to have avoidant tendencies, probably fearful. It's kind of interesting identifying the now familiar behaviors 
But unlike real life, he seems to figure it out on his own - without professional help! Only in the movies......
