Yes, I just broke up and have zero interest in any new relationship. I think this is the difference between DA and FA. I have very little interest in romantic relationships until I am in one. It will take me a very long time to get into another.

My ex is fa/da combo. Hx of repeated sexual trauma as a teen. All her exes cheated on her. Cannot deal with conflict at all which is one reason we broke up. She just doesn't have communication and emotion skills.we We broke up officially a month ago. She says there is nobody else and has no interest. From my side, I feel like there must be someone or else she would be contacting me.

i take time to process and heal after a breakup and don’t get involved until i have it resolved and peace and balance back, that’s of primary importance to me. Peace and balance and autonomy.

People of all styles use no contact after a break up to heal.

Bedlam, i can see you’re really hurting over your breakup, and i hope you can find some support for your own emotional growth and wellbeing here, There’s a lot of pain but a lot of growth and help here too, the way i see it we are all in it together.

Thank you, tgat! Trying to look at this as transformative but the emotions seem to be winning out.

The emotions are so important, they can be your teachers too. Transformation is such a process and part of it is really raw and messy. i encourage you to just keep showing up, stay open, be vulnerable with the rest of us, and keep sharing.
